We uphold generosity as we donate 15% of profits to organizations that focuses on women's safety, sexual assault victims, or police services.

Small start. Big mission

Sorora Safety began as a school project

After learning about the rising levels of assault, harassment, and unsafe experiences on campuses, we knew we wanted to do more than just complete an assignment. We wanted to make a real difference.

Inspired by the emergency light posts on campuses, we created Sorora Safety, a fast response safety app built to fight harassment and unsafe situations by connecting users to campus safety and verified users.

from a school project to a safety solution

During our last semester in high school, we participated in the PTTC program, where our team met every Monday to work through ideas, challenges, and possibilities. With guidance from our mentor, Joe Miller, we learned how to turn a problem we deeply cared about into a meaningful solution.

Those weekly sessions pushed us beyond theory and into action.

Award-Winning Innovation

In 2025, we pitched Keep her safe (now Sorora) at the "Pitch to the Chief, Youth Edition" competition hosted by the Cobourg Police Service, and had the immense opportunity of winning the grand prize.

Our app was recognized for its powerful mix of technology and community focus, and life-saving potential. It wasn’t just a school project. It was a movement for greater change.
